Frequently asked questions
Does it keep the layout, the graphics and the tables?
It depends on the mode you pick. “Exactly like the original” keeps the layout exact, with every chart, box and column, because it copies each page as it is; in exchange, the text cannot be edited. “Editable document” keeps bold, italics, font sizes, headings, alignment, the images and simple tables, and leaves the text correctable; drawn graphics cannot be carried over to Word, and we tell you when a file has them.
Does it work with a scanned PDF?
With the “Exactly like the original” mode, yes: the scanned page is copied as an image. With “Editable document”, no, because a scan is a photo and holds no copyable text; in that case we tell you and nothing is downloaded.
What can I open the result with?
Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Writer, Google Docs and any program that opens .docx files.
