Why remove the background

A product photo with a clean background looks more professional and can be used in many places: your online store, a catalog, a social media post or a presentation. With a transparent background you can place it over any color or image.

How to do it in 3 steps

Is my image uploaded?

No. The background is removed inside your browser, with an artificial intelligence model that downloads the first time you use it (which is why that first time can take a little longer). Your image is not sent or stored.

How to take a photo that cuts out well

The tool works best when the object or person is clearly separated from the background. Some tips:

• Use a plain background in a color different from the product.
• Light it well and avoid very harsh shadows.
• Leave space around the product so it is not cropped.
• Get close enough: the product should fill a good part of the photo.

With very busy images, or objects the same color as the background, the cut-out may not be perfect. In that case, try another photo.

What to do with the transparent PNG

• Place it over a background in your brand color.
• Upload it to your store on a white background for a uniform catalog.
• Use it in a post or in a presentation.

If the PNG is heavy, you can run it through Compress image.

How much it costs
