How much smaller will my images get?
It depends on the image and the quality you choose. JPG and WebP photos shrink a lot; PNG files are saved with no quality loss and sometimes barely change. If it cannot be reduced we tell you and nothing is downloaded.
Will I notice the quality loss?
At a quality between 70 and 85% it is hardly noticeable. If the image looks blurry or blotchy, raise the quality.
Are my images uploaded to the internet?
No. The whole process happens inside your browser, on your own computer. Saving the image also removes hidden photo data, such as the location.
